The group owns a large amount of equipment for our children to use on Camps, Outings and other activities

It is important to keep tabs of this equipment and to ensure that it is in good repair for use and to help teach respect of property

 

Duties

Tasks would include but not be limited to: –

 

  • Check equipment out before camps (meeting night or departure night)
  • Check all equipment is returned after camps
  • Ensure good repair of all equipment
  • Liaise with the leaders and undertake an annual stock take and valuation of equipment for annual insurance purposes (Feb-March)
  • Registration of trailer/s

 

Access

  • Equipment may be stored in the
    • Garage
    • Shipping container.
    • Patrol dens
    • Various Hall cupboards
    • Leaders room
    • Or off site

 

  • Access key is held by QM, Group Leader, Scout Leaders and Group President

 

Team

A team of 3 to 5 people or more, working together may make this task easier (specializing in Water Craft, climbing gear, Gas equipment, etc.).

 

Budget

  • Any requests for new equipment are to be approved by the Group Committee.
  • Any major Maintenance shall be approved by Group committee before commencement
  • All expenses will be reimbursed by the group (after approval for major works.)
