Job Spec – Quarter Master Team – Gas Bottles and Gas Equipment

The group owns a large amount of gas equipment for our children to use on Camps, Outings and other activities

By maintaining all of the gas bottles, gas lamps, BBQ’s and stoves between camps there is no last-minute panic when packing for camp.

Duties

Tasks would include but not be limited to: –

• Have the gas bottles refilled or swapped after camps (if required)
• Replace any broken Lantern glasses if cracked or missing
• Ensure that there are adequate mantles in stock to take to camp
• Ensure that all gas burners are working
• Report to the Group Quarter Master

Access

• Gas equipment is stored in the garage.
• Gas Bottles are stored in the Gas Bottle Cage
• Access is on cub or scout meeting night or by arrangement.
• Access key is held by QM, Group Leader, Section Leaders and Group President

Budget

• Purchase / Maintenance requests to be directed to the QM
• Any major Maintenance shall be approved by Group committee before commencement
• All expenses will be reimbursed by the group
